On the one hand while economic relations between states are developing depending on
globalization, on the other hand globalization ensures that money, materials and people using
for terror acts can move more easily. This situation expands the scope of the destructive effects of
terrorism. It also causes major problems for states' economies around the world.
Thus international trade is also negatively affected in regard to shopping, tourism and transport
preferences. When it is thought that the third largest sector of the world is the Tourism sector, it
can be said that the tourism sector is one of the most important sectors that can be used to make
terrorist acts sound in the world and to wreck the states' economies. In this study, the effects of
terrorism on the world economy in general and its effects on Turkey's economy in particular are
explained by considering the variety of data and samples from acts of terrorism. Terrorism put
pressure on domestic production and foreign direct investment which may come into the Turkey.
The insecurity and economic risks created by terrorism slow the speed of investments. It causes
cause negative outcomes such as unemployment and migration. In this study, it is examined that
the climate created by terrorism has a negative impact on the tourism sector both in the world
and in Turkey

Küreselleşmeyle birlikte bir yandan devletlerarasında ekonomik ilişkiler gelişirken öte yandan
küreselleşme, terör eylemleri için gerekli para, malzeme ve insanların da daha rahat hareket
edebilmesini sağlamaktadır. Bu durum ise terörizmin dünya çapında devletlerin ekonomileri için
de önemli sorunlar ortaya çıkarmaktadır. Terör eylemleri özellikle; alışveriş, turizm ve ulaşım
tercihleri başta olmak üzere ülkenin satın alma ve üretim yapılarını değiştirebilmektedir.
Dünyanın en büyük üçüncü sektörünün Turizm sektörü olduğu düşünüldüğünde, terör
eylemlerinin dünyada ses getirmesi ve devletlerin ekonomilerini yıpratmak için kullanılabilecek
en önemli sektörlerden biri de turizm sektörüdür. Bu çalışmada da terörizmin genelde dünya
ekonomisi ve özelde de Türkiye ekonomisi üzerindeki etkileri çeşitli verilerden ve örnek terör
eylemlerinden hareketle açıklanmaktadır. Terörizm, ülkeye gelebilecek doğrudan yabancı
yatırımlar ile yerli üretim üzerinde baskı yaratmaktadır. Terörizmin yarattığı güvensizlik ve
ekonomik riskler, yatırımların hızını yavaşlatmakta ve işsizlik ile göç gibi olumsuz çıktılara
neden olmaktadır. Çalışmada, terörizmin yarattığı iklimin özellikle turizm sektörü üzerindeki
olumsuz etkileri de hem Dünya hem de Türkiye ölçeğinde incelenmektedir.
